To the Rav, great scholar, distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim*, dedicates himself to communal needs, and multiplies positive actions, Rav E.[1] shlita*,

Greetings and blessings,

I enclose a copy of the letter I am sending to the rescue committee.

I know that you maintain a positive relationship with the institutions of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, in particular regarding the aid, rescue and rehabilitation of refugees in Europe. You have personally gone there and you have been an eyewitness to all the material and spiritual good which flows from the work of our bureau in Paris[2].

It seems to me unnecessary to say more, for someone like you, and you will therefore do your best so that the subsidy[3] should actually be granted, as quickly as possible.

I thank you very much for your rapid intervention in this matter.
