Greetings and blessings,

On the occasion of Pesach*[1], which is approaching for us and for all Israel, for the good, I extend to you my best wishes for a kosher and joyous festival.

Every year, when the time of our freedom returns, a Jew must relive and revivify this moment in the sense of Yiddishkeit*. The deep purpose of this liberation was the following: "When you bring this people out of Egypt, you will serve Hashem on this mountain"[2] — that is to say, the giving of the Torah.

One must feel its imprint throughout the year, in daily existence, by studying Torah and by practicing the mitzvos*, in general; by feeling deeply, in particular, the necessity of developing a good chinuch*. For the children have been and still are the guarantors of the perpetuity and the true freedom of our people.

With my blessing for a kosher and joyous festival, to you and to all the members of your family,
