To the distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim* and dedicates himself to communal needs, Rav Yaakov HaKohen[1],

Greetings and blessings,

You will surely spend the festival of Pesach* here, with Hashem's help, and I will therefore have the pleasure of speaking with you at length, face to face. I hope that your family will accommodate themselves to this festival, and I wish them that it be kosher and joyous.

I am surprised that the contribution of Mr. Zaks has not yet reached us. You will no doubt invite him to hurry.

As I told you on the telephone, our representative in Europe, the great Rav, distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim*, Rav Binyamin Gorodetzky, returned here a few days ago. He brought a detailed report of our activity in Europe and especially in North Africa. Baruch Hashem*, the success is considerable. Unfortunately, the financial situation is very difficult, all the more so since the Joint[2] has decreased its contribution to our work.

Consequently, I would like to know what is happening with the loan contracted from our friend, Mr. Yosef Robinson[3], which is directly linked to his participation in our accomplishments in North Africa.

I hope that, in coming here, with Hashem's help, you will bring good news concerning concrete action.
