To the great Rav*, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, dedicates himself to communal needs and possesses extensive knowledge, Rav C.Y.[1],

I greet you and bless you.

I received a letter from Mr. Dov Atinger. Relying on the few lines you wrote in the margin of it in order to bear witness to him, I replied to him. Nevertheless, I am sending this reply[2] through you, since I do not know the subject personally. I rely on your understanding to determine whether it should be transmitted to him as is, or whether you should send here proposals for appropriate changes.

I take this opportunity to thank you for the greetings you sent me through my secretary, Rav N. Mindel[3]. I conclude by sending you my blessing for a complete recovery, since Rav N.M. told me that you are in need of it. I look forward to your good news, both communal and personal. P.S. You have surely received, in their time, my letter of Friday, the eve of the holy Shabbat* Bo*, and the one preceding it, of the 17th[4] of Kislev*[5]. I have just learned, indirectly, that you delivered a Chassidic* discourse on the day of your wedding. I am surprised you did not tell me, and may Hashem let you give me a good piece of news by informing me that you have a fixed time for the study of Chassidut* even now. This commitment must, above all, be inward[6]. I have just received your letter of the eve of the holy Shabbat* and I thank you for it.

קבלתי מכתב ממר דב שי' אטינגר, נשען על השורות מכת"ר בשולי המכתב המעיד על הנ"ל ותומך בתוכן מכתבו וכו', בא המענה, אעפ"כ שולח אני המענה על יד כת"ר כיון שאיני מכיר אישית את הנידון, ואל בינתו אשען האם למסור לו המכתב כמו שהוא או שיכתוב כת"ר הצעות לכאן על דבר שנויים מתאימים.

בהזדמנות זו, ת"ח על הפ"ש על ידי מזכירי הר"נ שי' מינדעל, ואחתום בברכת רפואה שלימה כיון שמסר לי הרנ"מ שזקוק לזה, ואצפה לבשורות בעניני הכלל והפרט.
