To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and dedicates himself to communal needs, Rav Chaim Shemaryahu[1],
I greet you and bless you.
In reply to your letter of 2 Shevat*: your journey[2] is not appropriate at this time — may Hashem grant you success in our Holy Land*, may it be restored and rebuilt.
You surely maintain the three studies that concern every individual. They cover Chumash*, Tehillim*, Tanya*, and are well known. Your request for a blessing will be read, at an auspicious moment, near the holy tomb[3]. With my blessing for good health, as well as to give me good news,
