By the grace of Hashem,

To Mr. Shneur Zalman Mischary[1],

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter and I thank you greatly for it. In particular I received the one conveying the protocol. I am grateful to you for writing to me to tell me how the work and contacts are developing.

I know you, as well as the people about whom you write to me. Without doubt, you will therefore not be content with what has been achieved, especially if you take into account the importance of the endeavor and the need of the moment. May Hashem bring it about that you accomplish all this with peace of mind and body, a true tranquility, for Hashem will grant: "peace in the land, you will dwell in safety and no one will frighten you"[2], until the fulfillment of the promise: "I will lead you upright"[3], at the time of the complete redemption, by our righteous Mashiach*.

Indeed, this day is auspicious — that of Rosh Chodesh, the first day of the month of the Hillula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, who gave of himself for the good of the children of Israel wherever they may be, both for their material good and their spiritual good. He devoted his person, in a concrete manner, to this end, and one knows the words of our Sages[4] according to which the shepherds of Israel, the true leaders, act during their lifetime, in this world below, and then continue their action after their death, without change, invoking mercy for their flock, the people of Israel, so that it may obtain from Hashem an abundant blessing, salvation and success. With my respects and blessing of good health, as well as to give me good news,

שלום וברכה!

הנני מאשר בתודה רבה קבלת מכתבו ובפרט המכ' עם הפרטי-כל, ות"ח עבור כתבו בנוגע התקדמות העבודה והקשרים.

ובהכירי את מר ואת אלו שכותב אודותם, בודאי שלא יסתפקו בהשגים, ובפרט בשים לב לדרישת הענין והשעה. ויהי רצון שיעשו בזה מתוך מנוחת הנפש ומנוחת הגוף, מנוחה אמתית, כי יתן ה' "שלום בארץ וישבתם לבטח ואין מחריד", עדי קיום היעוד ואולך אתכם קוממיות בגאולה השלימה על ידי משיח צדקנו.

והרי היום יום סגולה, ראש חודש בו היאָרצייט-הילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, שמסר עצמו על טובת בני ישראל בכל מקום שהם, טובה בגשם וטובה ברוח, מסירת נפש בפועל. וידועים דברי חכמינו ז"ל, אשר רועי ישראל ומנהיגיהם האמתיים הנה מה בחיים חיותם בעולם הזה עומדים ומשמשים, אף לאחרי ההסתלקות שלהם עומדים ומשמשים ומעוררים רחמים על צאן מרעיתם עם ישראל להתברך מה' בשפע ברכה ישועה והצלחה.
