One[1] will write[2] to them clearly[3] that, in their view, the source of this practice is Halacha*. One will also tell them that the Shomer HaTzair* itself requests that it be so, and that their request is therefore particularly[3] surprising. After all this, how is it possible to overturn what is established by Halacha?

[2] This is the response to young people of the Chabad* association in the Holy Land who wrote to the Rebbe that a Torah* class had been organized in a kibbutz*, that the principle of separation between men and women, initially accepted, had subsequently been contested. They were therefore asking him what should be done.
[3] The Rebbe underlines the words: "clearly" and "particularly."
