By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and dedicates himself to communal needs, Rav Yitzchak Aizik Wagner[1],

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of this Wednesday, in which you inform me of your visit, with your wife, to our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt. You note that, during your stopover in New York, you will not have the opportunity to meet me face to face. Nevertheless, Hashem "joins the good thought to the action"[2] and I therefore express to you, in writing, all my wishes that your visit to our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, "the land upon which the eyes of Hashem are always turned, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year"[3], be fruitful from every point of view. Your return journey will also be a success, in its time, in the appropriate manner. Doubtless, as has been your custom in the past, you will visit Kfar Chabad* and the Chabad* institutions.

To offer you a timely blessing, I will express the wish that everything concerning each of us, within all of Israel, manifest in an increased manner, like "the candle that is a Mitzvah* and the Torah* that is a light"[4], according to the teaching of these lights of Chanukah[5]. And may the children of Israel announce only good news to one another. With my blessing for a joyous Chanukah, for a good month and for a fruitful journey,

הנני מאשר קבלת מכתבו מיום הרביעי, בו כותב ע"ד ביקורו ביחד עם זוג' תחי' באה"ק ת"ו. וכיון שכותב שבנסיעתם דרך ניו-יורק לא תהי' הזדמנות להפגש אתי פנים אל פנים, הרי מחשבה טובה מצטרפת למעשה אביע בכתב איחולי שיהי' ביקורם באה"ק ת"ו – ארץ אשר עיני ה"א בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה – בהצלחה בכל המובנים וכן גם נסיעתם חזרה שתהי' בהצלחה, בעתו ובזמנו יפה.

בטח כדרכו בעבר יבקר בכפר חב"ד ובמוסדות חב"ד.

ובברכה מענינא דיומא, יהי רצון שיהיו כל הענינים אצל כאו"א מאתנו בתוככי כלל ישראל באופן דמוסיף והולך באור נר מצוה ותורה אור, כהוראת נרות חנוכה הללו, ויבשרו בנ"י אך טוב איש לרעהו.
