By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Avraham Eliyahu Ki Tov[1],

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received[2] your letter of the day on which the word "good" was said twice[3]. May Hashem grant you success in spreading traditional Judaism, without compromise, in every way and, in particular, through your works. You will do so in good health, with joy and enthusiasm.

Bringing the word of Hashem to our brothers, the children of Israel*, is the highest expression of love for one's fellow, the fulfillment of the precept: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself"[4], which is "a great principle of the Torah"[5] — especially in light of the teaching of the Admur HaZaken*[6], author of the Tanya* and the Shulchan Aruch*, according to which the precepts "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" and "You shall love Hashem your Hashem" are linked and interdependent[7]. All of this is explained at length in the commentaries, the Chassidic discourses, and the talks of our masters and leaders in general, and many of them are already in print. To someone like you, there is surely no need to say more. With my respect, my blessing for success, as well as to give me good news,

הנני לאשר בזה קבלת מכתבו מיום שהוכפל בו כי טוב,

ויהי רצון שחפץ הוי' בידו יצליח להפיץ היהדות המסורתית בלי פשרות וכו', בכל האופנים ובפרט על ידי חיבוריו, ויעשה זה מתוך בריאות ושמחה וטוב לבב.

והרי הבאת דבר ה' לאחינו בני ישראל הוא הביטוי הכי נעלה דאהבת ישראל, קיום מצות ואהבת לרעך כמוך, אשר כלל גדול הוא בתורה, ובפרט על פי פתגם רבנו הזקן בעל התניא והשלחן ערוך, שואהבת לרעך כמוך ואהבת את ה' אלקיך קשורים ותלויים זה בזה, וכמבואר כל זה בדרושיו ובמאמריו ובשיחות רבותינו נשיאינו בכלל, אשר כמה מהם כבר נדפסו, ובודאי לדכוותי' האריכות אך למותר.
