To the members of the committee of the Tzemach Tzedek* synagogue,
in the Old City of Jerusalem,
may Hashem grant you long life,
I greet and bless you,
I reproduce here the text of the telegram that the Rabbi Shlita* was kind enough to send you last evening[1]:
"In accordance with my previous letters[2], for all the spiritual and material needs of the synagogue — the rite, the customs, the leadership, the construction and the rest — it is solely the committee that is the representative of the Chassidim*, my representative and the decision-making body, ruling and taking positions, both internally and externally. I am very surprised that you question me on this matter.
May Hashem grant you success in your sacred mission of strengthening, expanding and enlarging the synagogue, quantitatively and qualitatively. It is certain that all the Chassidim will assist you in this and this house will be great[3] through prayer, through Torah, both in its revealed dimension and in its profound part, in accordance with the teaching of him whose name it bears, the Tzemach Tzedek, until the coming of Tzemach* who is our righteous Mashiach*[4]."

[4] The name Tzemach Tzedek also alludes to the Mashiach, as explained in Chabad teachings.

מועתק בזה נוסח המברק שהואיל כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א להבריק להם אתמול לילה:
"כמכתבַי מאז – בכל עניני בית הכנסת הרוחנים והגשמיים; הנוסח, מנהגים, גבאות, בני' וכולי, אך הועד הוא בא כח אנ"ש ובא כחי והוא הַדן, קובע ומחליט כלפי פנים וכלפי חוץ, ולפלא גדול השאלה בזה.
והשם יצליחם בעבודה הקדושה לבסס ולהרחיב ולהגדיל בית הכנסת בכמות ובאיכות, ובודאי כל אנ"ש יסייעו בידם, ויהי' הבית גדול בתפלה ובתורה הנגלית והפנימית גם יחד – כהוראת בעל השם אדמו"ר הצמח צדק, עדי ביאת צמח הוא משיח צדקנו.
בברכת הצלחה, ולהתועדות פעילה בבית הכנסת בשבת בראשית הבע"ל.
