To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Moshe Avraham*[1],

I greet and bless you,

We acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 8th of Tishrei* and reproduce here the text of the telegram that the Rabbi Shlita* was kind enough to send you on this day[2]:

"To the attention of the participants in the Hakafot* of Simchat Torah* in the holy city of Jerusalem, may it be restored and rebuilt by our righteous Mashiach*, among all our brothers, the children of Israel who rejoice in the joy of the Torah, in every place where they may be, may Hashem grant them long days and good years,

As the joy of the Torah[3] — the joy of Israel in the Torah and the joy of the Torah in Israel — surrounds and unites our entire people, both those who are near and those who are far, this joy receives a particular vigor and content in a unified Jerusalem. Our Sages have informed us[4] that it was not divided among the tribes, for it is the eternal heritage of all of Israel, granted to them by the eternal Hashem, as indicated in His Torah.

May Hashem grant that it[5] fulfill its vocation[6], that from it the Torah and the Word of Hashem emanate. Thus all the nations will see that it bears the Name of Hashem[7], as does our people, a unique nation on earth[8]. Very soon, we will have the merit..." With my blessing,

מאשרים אנו בזה קבלת מכתבו מח' תשרי, ומועתק בזה נוסח המברק שהואיל כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א להבריק לו היום:

כבוד המשתתפים בהקפות שמחת תורה בירושלים עיר הקודש תובב"א ע"י משיח צדקנו, בתוככי כל אחינו בני ישראל השמחים בשמחת תורה בכל מקום שהם – שליט"א.

בשעה ששמחת תורה, שמחת ישראל בתורה ושמחת התורה בישראל, מקפת ומאחדת את כל עמנו, הקרובים והרחוקים גם יחד, תוקף ותוכן מיוחדים לשמחה זו בירושלים המאוחדת, שהודיעונו חכמינו ז"ל שלא נתחלקה לשבטים כי היא נחלת עולם של כל ישראל שניתנה לו מאלקי עולם ככתוב בתורתו.

ויהי רצון שתתאים ירושלים ליעודה – שממנה תצא תורה ודבר השם וראו כל עמי הארץ כי שם השם נקרא עלי' ועל עמינו גוי אחד בארץ, ובקרוב ממש נזכה ונראה בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה כדבר השם: הנני מביא אותם מארץ צפון וקבצתים מירכתי ארץ קהל גדול ישובו הנה אוליכם בדרך ישר ובאו ורננו במרום ציון.

המשתתף בשמחתם שמחתנו וחותם בתפלה לשנת שמחה ותורה לשנת גאולה.
