To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav Avraham Elazar*[2] HaLevi,
I greet and bless you,
I duly received your letter requesting a blessing, dated the 12th of Marcheshvan. In a propitious moment, it has been read near the grave of my father-in-law, the Rabbi, may his merit protect us.
I was pleased to hear of the warm reception of the Chassidic* gatherings and the extent of your influence. Without a doubt, you will continue along this path and increase your activity.
Regarding your question about the Haftarah* and the synagogue: since you and those around you accustomed yourselves to a particular practice from the beginning, it would be difficult to change now. It would be like uprooting what has already been planted. One must therefore continue with the established practice.
As for the question of Keriat HaTorah* and the like — regarding which you mention a difference of opinion — this should be arranged by a Rav who is expert in these matters and who is familiar with the local situation.
May Hashem grant you success in all your sacred endeavors. With my blessing,

בטח שומר על שלשת השיעורים השוים לכל נפש בחומש תהלים ותניא, ועכ"פ יעשה כן מכאן ולהבא.
לכתבו ע"ד הצעת השותפות – לכאורה צריך בירור: 1) באם הכל בסדר – למה מוותרים ומציעים לו 40% בעד השקעתו ועבודתו? 2) מה עליו "להוסיף" בעבודתו על הקיים ע"ע? 3) סעיף המגבלות (שימשיכן ב . . . בלעדו, שיקנו מהמסחר בהוספה 5% על הקרן אף שבכלל הריוח גם בסיטונאות יותר בכמה. ועוד) – צע"ג. 4) איך יחלקו המציעים מרצם וכו' בין מסחרם הנפרד להמשותף, ובפרט שכ"ז באותו המקום (עכ"פ בחלקו). 5) סילוק החובות הישנים? 6) שיווי העסק. ועוד . ובודאי יתייעץ בכ"ז עם סוחרים בכיו"ב מידידיו, ובהתאם לזה – יחליט.
לכאורה המציעים היו צריכים באַווארענען כ"ז מצ"ע – ולא שיעוררו עדכ"ז מעבר לים.
