To the distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim*, Rav Yosef[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I received today the cake from the bris milah* of your grandson Shlomo Yitzchak. On this occasion, I would like to wish you once again Mazal Tov, Mazal Tov. May you, just as you have entered him into the covenant of our father Avraham, raise him to Torah, chuppah* and good deeds. Together with your wife, you will derive much Jewish and chassidic nachas* from this grandson and from your other children, not only in physical tranquility but also in tranquility of mind.

The good deeds that you have accomplished until now, particularly the printing of the Sdei Chemed[2] and your commitment to work to strengthen the institutions of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, will bring you, and all yours, blessing and success in all areas.

Very soon, you will be able to fulfill your commitment to broadly support these institutions in North Africa. You will be able to increase the amount of your contribution, according to the needs that are felt and in accordance with the wish of your Jewish heart.

Kindly transmit my blessing of Mazal Tov, on the occasion of the bris milah*, to the parents of the newborn — your son, Mr. Yisrael Zalman, and his wife, Mrs. Freidel — as well as to the grandmother, Mrs. Rachel, and the great-grandmother, Mrs. Breindel, who should have long days and good years.
