By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Chaim[1],

Greetings and blessing,

I am happy to note that you are keeping your word and that you have already transmitted to us one thousand dollars for the publication[2].

Tomorrow, Erev Rosh Chodesh*, when I am at the tziyun* of the Frierdiker Rebbe* with Hashem's help, I will mention your name and that of your wife, that you may know all good.

It is unnecessary to specify once again the importance of the mitzvah* you have committed yourself to fulfilling, contributing to the spreading of the clarity of Chassidus*. Through this channel, you will surely introduce light and good into your home. Above all, you will obtain all this in joy and enthusiasm.

Thus we shall consider every matter with benevolence. The Frierdiker Rebbe related that, as a young child, he asked his father[3] why Hashem gave people one mouth, one nose, but two eyes.

His father answered him as follows. The reason is this: one must use one's right eye to behold the qualities of another, and one's left eye to consider one's own faults.

I enclose for you an excerpt of what was explained[4] during the chassidic farbrengen* of this Shabbos.

שלום וברכה!

משמח אותי לראות שהוא מאלו שהם אומר ועושה ,וכבר סילק עד

עתה אלף דולר על חשבון ההדפסה.

מחר ,ערב ראש חודש ,כשאי״ה אהי׳ על הציון של כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר

אזכיר אותו וזוגתו תחי׳ לטוב.

מיותר לחזור שוב אודות גדלות המצוה שלקח על עצמו לסייע להפיץ

את אור תורת החסידות ,שזה יהי׳ ודאי צינור להכניס בביתו אורה וטובה,

והעיקר שהכל יהי׳ בשמחה וטוב לבב ,ושיראו הכל בעין טובה .כפי שכ״ק

מו״ח אדמו״ר סיפר ,שכאשר הי׳ ילד קטן שאל פעם את אביו ,מדוע הקב״ה

נתן לאדם פה אחד ואף אחד ,אבל שתי עיניים .אביו ענה לו אז ,שזהו בכדי

שבעין הימנית יראו את המעלות של הזולת ובעין השמאלית יראו את

החסרונות האישיים.
