I greet and bless you,
You have informed me of your birthday, and here is my reply. May Hashem grant that you have a year of success, with good conduct[2], as befits a son of Israel — defined as a descendant of Avraham*, Yitzchak*, and Yaakov*. This means that you will study Torah with eagerness and enthusiasm, that you will listen to your parents and teachers, and more generally that you will behave well, to the point of setting an example to your friends. If one truly wishes to adopt such conduct, one succeeds. With my blessing of success in all of the above,
