Igrot Kodesh · Letter 9259
Volume 24 · Letter 229 · 6 Tévet 5727 · To: regret de ce qui s’est passé et à la bonne résolution que vous prendrez pour l’av
By the grace of Hashem,
6 Tevet 5727,
Brooklyn,
I greet and bless you,
I am replying to your letter in which you mention your omission[1]. As a result, you must acquire a sound knowledge of the laws of Tefillin* that apply to you — which excludes the laws concerning their writing[3]. You will also study the Chassidic* discourses dealing with Tefillin. You will find them in the Likutei Torah*, in the Siddur* with the commentaries of Chassidut*, and in the Derech Mitzvotecha*.
Of course, this must be accompanied by remorse for what occurred and by a good resolution for the future. You surely maintain the three well-known daily studies: Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*. It would be good to have your Tefillin checked, if this has not been done in the past twelve months. With my blessing that you bring me good news of all this,
For the Rabbi Shlita,
Notes
