As[1] you can deduce from my previous correspondence[2], my view is very clear. You must retain your rabbinical functions within your community and, simultaneously[3], strengthen your position there and broaden it — all the more so since you have already had the opportunity to repair various areas and to improve things. Of course, for all this to be lasting, you must be present in that place and assert your authority there.
Regarding the father who is causing a scandal[4], it would be good to find someone who will explain to him that the more he brings up this affair, the more widely it will become known[5]. This could therefore be harmful to the child's future.

[4] Rav Medalye wrote: "The school refuses to exclude the children of converted women whose conversion I consider to be without validity. One accepted my words and is prepared to act upon them. The other, however, made a great scandal. Through his friends, he made it known to me that he would hire a lawyer and turn to the Minister of Culture".
[5] The more it becomes known that his wife's conversion is questionable, and hence that his son's Jewishness is uncertain.

...וכמובן ממכתבי הקודם - ברורה דעתי שעל כת"ר להמשיך בכהונתו ברבנות בקהלתו, וביחד עם זה לבצר עמדתו בה ולהוסיף בה, ובפרט שכבר עלה בידו לתקן כמה ולשפר וכו' [ובודאי שבכדי שיהי' לזה קיום - צ"ל נוכח במקום ואימתו עליהם].
להאב המרעיש וכו' - כדאי למצוא מי שיסבירו שככל שיפרסם הדבר יותר - יותר מתפרסם כל הענין, ועלול להזיק עתידם - של הילד וכו' וכו'.
