[Days of Chanukah* 5727]

If[1] you pray with the community that morning[2], you will immerse in a ritual bath*, you will drink but will not eat[3] until your return from the cemetery; you will give Tzedakah* before going there, and you will study a passage of Torah. By acting in this way, it will be prudent and good.

[2] The recipient of this letter was asking whether it was good to go pray near the tomb of Rabbi Rayats*.

באם בבוקר דאותו יום יתפלל בצבור יטבול במקוה ישתה אבל לא יאכל (עד חזרתו מביה"ח) יפריש לצדקה לפני הליכתו, ילמוד ענין בתורה אז כדאי וטוב.
