To the administrators of the charity fund associated with the Lubavitch house of study* — and at their head, the Chassidim* who fear Hashem and devote themselves to communal needs: Rav Yosef Mordechai Fellig, Rav Natan Kalman Fellig, and Rav Chaim Shlomo Greenhuit[1],

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter of 10 Kislev, together with the report enclosed therein. May Hashem grant that you continue your beneficial activity with success and in an ever-increasing manner[2], in accordance with the teaching of these days of Chanukah and its candles that are lit in ever-growing number.

As the Gemara* explains[3], one of the qualities of benevolence is the fact that it is exercised in the same way toward the wealthy[4]. May Hashem therefore grant that the administrators, the donors of this charity fund, and those who support it act with wealth and generosity, both materially and spiritually.
