To those participating in the lottery[1] for a trip here, among all those
taking part in the gathering of Chabad* women and girls, at Kfar Chabad*,
may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless you and greet you,

I received with pleasure the list of lottery participants, as well as the letter of request emanating from the association of Chabad women and girls in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt. All of this was brought to me by your representative, Mrs. Feyga Hen. At a propitious moment, the list will be read near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rabbi*, may his merit protect us. May Hashem bring it about that, in good health, with joy and enthusiasm, each of you continue to strengthen and spread traditional Judaism, first and foremost in your home, since a woman is the "mistress of the home"[2] — in a manner consistent with the verse:[3] "The glory of the king's daughter is within" — in the homes of the children of Israel in general.

Our Sages say,[4] in this regard, that "one assists one who wishes to purify himself," and the Admor HaZaken* specifies[5] that this includes also the act of purifying others. Moreover, we have just merited being inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, with a visible and tangible good. We are on the eve of "the time of our rejoicing"[6] — a true and deep joy, a double joy.[7] Every Jewish man and woman rejoices then in the Holy One, blessed be He, in His Torah, in His Mitzvot*, and Hashem rejoices in them.

Moreover, it is said[8] regarding this year: "At the end of the Shemittah* year..."[9] and it is specified,[10] in this regard: "Gather the people, the men, the women and the children, so that they hear and learn to fear Hashem your Hashem, to observe and to perform all the words of this Torah." With my blessing for joyous holidays and also to give me good tidings of all that has just been said,

בנועם קבלתי רשימת המשתתפות בההגרלה וכן המכתב בקשת ארגון נשי ובנות חב"ד באה"ק ת"ו - ע"י ב"כ מרת פייגא תחי' חן.

ובעת רצון תקרא הרשימה על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

ויהי רצון אשר מתוך בריאות הנכונה ושמחה וטוב לבב, תמשיך כל אחת מהן בביסוס היהדות המסורתית והפצתה, מתחיל בביתן, שהרי האשה היא היא עקרת הבית.

ובאופן המתאים למה שכתוב כל כבודה בת מלך פנימה - בבתי בני ישראל בכלל.

ובכל כגון זה הודיעונו חכמינו ז"ל, הבא לטהר - וידוע דיוק רבנו הזקן , לטהר גם לאחרים - מסייעים אותו.

ובפרט שהרי זה עתה באנו מימי הכתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בטוב הנראה והנגלה,

ועומדים אנו ערב זמן שמחתינו, שמחה אמיתית ופנימית, שמחה כפולה,

אשר כל אחד ואחת מבני ישראל שמח בהקב"ה, תורתו ומצותיו, והקב"ה שמח בהם.

ובמיוחד שהשנה ה[י]א "מקץ..שנת השמיטה" עלי' נאמר: הקהל את העם האנשים והנשים והטף גו'..למען ישמעו ולמען ילמדו ויראו את ה' אלקיכם ושמרו לעשות את כל דברי התורה הזאת.

בברכת מועדים לשמחה ולבשורות טובות בכל האמור.
