To the students of the Beth Channah* school in New Haven,
may Hashem grant you long life,
I bless you and greet you,
I learned with pleasure that you organized a gathering on the day of the Hillula* of my mother, the Rebbetzin*,[1] and that words of encouragement were spoken there. I was also informed of the students' reactions. It is unnecessary to describe the intense pleasure that is thus caused to the soul dwelling in the World of Truth, seeing that she merited encouraging Jewish girls to redouble their ardor for Torah* and its Mitzvot*. Moreover, I have good hope that this motivation will take effect and will transform your daily conduct.
Hashem bestows His Providence upon each and every one. May He therefore bring it about that you succeed in your studies at the Beth Channah school, that these studies "lead to action"[2] as is said, that you have a daily conduct based on the Torah, and that each of you conforms to the name traditionally given to the daughters of Israel — that of a descendant of Sarah*, Rivkah*, Rachel* and Leah*. The merit of the Tzedakah* given on that day will protect you in all this. With my blessing to give me good tidings and for a joyous holiday,[3]

בנועם קבלתי הידיעה ע"ד האסיפה אשר נערכה על ידן ביום היארצייט של כבוד אמי מורתי הצדקנית ע"ה ז"ל, דברי ההתעוררות אשר נאמרו אז, ותגובת התלמידות בזה.
ובודאי למותר להאריך בגודל הנחת רוח לנשמה הנמצאת בעולם האמת, כשרואה אשר זכרה מעורר בנות ישראל להוסיף אומץ בעניני יהדות ומצותי', ובפרט שתקותי חזקה, שתפעול ההתעוררות ועד להנהגתן בחיי היום יום.
ויהי רצון מהשם, המשגיח על כל אחד ואחת בהשגחה פרטית, אשר תצליחנה בלימודן במוסד בית חנה, ויביא הלימוד למעשה כאמור, הנהגה יום יום ע"פ התורה, ותהי' כל אחת מהן מתאימה להשם המסורתי, הניתן לבנות ישראל, בת שרה רבקה רחל ולאה.
וזכות הצדקה שניתנה ביום זה האמור, תעמוד להן בכל האמור.
