I bless and greet you,
I am replying to your letter from the conclusion of the holy Shabbat*[2], together with what was enclosed therein, in which you ask me about a four-week visit to Eretz Yisrael*, the Holy Land, despite the difficulties this would entail for you. In general, in such cases, when there is a doubt, it is better to refrain, at least for the time being.
In accordance with the saying of the Tzemach Tzedek*[3], when responding to someone who asked him about going to the Holy Land, one must realize: "make Eretz Yisrael here" — by spreading Judaism wherever one is and by drawing each person closer to its values.
May Hashem grant you long days and good years, and may you carry out all of the above with great vigor and in good health.
