By the grace of Hashem,
11 Tammuz 5725,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Avraham,
I send you my greetings and bless you,
I have duly received your letter[1]. One confers merit upon days that are by nature propitious[2] — in this case, the holiday of liberation, the 12th and 13th of Tammuz, the deliverance of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*.
May Hashem therefore grant that each person be delivered from the elements that obstruct positive activity — the fulfillment of the mission that a person receives upon this earth: its transformation into a Temple, a Sanctuary for Hashem. For this, in the words of our Sages*[3], one must build for Him a dwelling below. One has taken an oath to devote oneself to this[4] — and indeed oaths, in the plural. It is an intensified force that is granted to a person for the purpose of fulfilling the Mitzva*. This is why Shevua*, 'oath,' shares the same root as Sova*, 'satiety,' as is explained at length in a Chassidic discourse* of the Tzemach Tzedek* — this being the one hundredth year since his passing — entitled: 'He is made to swear to be righteous'[7]. ומגלגלים זכות לימים זכאים דחג הגאולה י"ב וי"ג תמוז, גאולת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, שבטח יודע פרשת ימים אלו.
ויהי רצון שיגאל כאו"א מכל ענינים הבלתי רצוים או עכ"פ מגבילים אותו מפעילות הרצוי' ובנקודתה הפנימית, מילוי תפקיד האדם עלי אדמות, עשיית כל העולם כולו לבית מקדשו, דירה לו ית' ובלשון חז"ל לעשות לו דירה בתחתונים, אשר מושבע ועומד הוא ע"ז, ושבועות לשון רבים כפירוש בענין השבועה בכלל - שע"י תוספת כח לקיים המצוה עי"ז שישבעו את האדם כחות נוספים, שלכן אחד הוא השרש לשבועה וללשון שובע, כמבואר בארוכה במאמר אדמו"ר הצמח צדק (אשר השנה שנת המאה להסתלקות שלו) ד"ה משביעין אותו תהי צדיק.
