By the grace of Hashem,

8 Tammuz 5725,

To the distinguished and pleasant Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Shneur Zalman* Shlita*,

I send you my greetings and bless you,

In connection with the days of liberation[2] — the 12th and 13th of Tammuz — which are approaching, we have published discourses of our masters and leaders[3]. It is therefore with particular pleasure that I send you the first copy, just brought from the bindery. For one confers merit upon a day that is by nature propitious[4]. I know of your connection with Chabad*, and in particular with the teachings of the Admur HaZaken*, founder of Chabad*. You will no doubt rejoice as we do, drawing from and watering others from this wellspring of living waters.

I will conclude this letter with the verse: 'And Israel acts with valor.' With my consideration, my regards, and my blessing on the occasion of the days of deliverance,

בקשר עם ימי הגאולה י"ב-י"ג תמוז הבאים עלינו לטובה הזדרזנו להוציא לאור מדברי רבותינו נשיאינו. ובעונג מיוחד הנני לצרף בזה טופס ראשון שזה עתה הביאו מבית הכורך. ומגלגלין זכות ליום זכאי.

בידעי יחסו של כ' לחב"ד, ובפרט לתורת רבנו הזקן מייסד שיטת החב"ד, בודאי שישמח לבו גם הוא כמונו להיות דולה ומשקה מבאר מים חיים וכעת ישמח ישראל (ל' הסכמה לתניא).

כמנהג בני ישראל לקשר מכתב עם פרשת השבוע, אחתום בפסוק וישראל עושה חיל.
