By the grace of Hashem,

To the attention of Rav Aharon Shuster* Shlita*,

Chief Rabbi of Amsterdam,

I greet you and bless you,

After a long interruption, I have duly received your letter of 4 Iyar* and, at a propitious moment, I will mention the name of this person near the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, in accordance with what you write to me.

It is you who transmitted this request to me and may Hashem therefore grant that you give me good tidings of it. Your actions destined to disseminate traditional Judaism in your holy community, to the full extent of the influence you exert therein and which you broaden, from time to time, will protect you, together with all of yours. Indeed, these accomplishments are for the good of the sons and daughters of Israel, of whom it is said (note 1: Devarim* 14:1.): "You are children to Hashem your Elokim*." They arouse the pleasure of our Father Who is in Heaven, through the Attribute of Hashem, Who acts "measure for measure" (note 2: In the manner in which one acts toward Him. See the Pesikta Zutrasa on the verse Shemos* 3:6.), but in vastly increased proportions. You yourself will therefore derive much satisfaction from all your descendants. With my respects and my blessing that you give me good tidings,

On this occasion, I permit myself to enclose a copy of my letter addressed to all (note 3: This refers to letter no. 8965.). I hope that it will interest you. Indeed, its content applies throughout the year.

אחרי הפסק ארוך נתקבל כמתבו מיום ד' באייר, ובעת רצון אזכיר... שי' על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע מתאים לתוכן כתבו.

ויהי רצון שכשם שכתב הבקשה יבשר טוב. ופעולות כת"ר בהפצת היהדות המסורתית בקהילתו קדישא ככל אשר ידו מגעת, שבודאי מוסיף כהנה וכהנה, יעמדו לו ולכל בני ביתו שיחיו, והרי הפעולות הן לטובת בני ובנות ישראל עליהם נאמר בנים אתם לה' אלקיכם שגורמות נחת רוח לאבינו שבשמים, ובמדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה כמה פעמים ככה יתברך כת"ר בנח"ר מכל יוצאי חלציו שי'.
