It would be good (note 1: See Likkutei Sichos*, vol. 22, p. 366.) to choose the domain of education (note 2: The recipient of this letter asked the Rebbe* which activity he should adopt.). It is, indeed, a positive and sacred activity, which consists of forming the children of Israel. Of every Jew, it is said: "You are children to Hashem your Elokim*." Moreover, according to the saying of the Baal Shem Tov* (note 3: See, on this subject, letter no. 8874.), the love of Hashem for every Jew is infinitely stronger than that of elderly parents for their only son, born in their advanced age.

...ומה טוב בשטח החינוך... והרי תפקיד טוב וקדוש הוא - לחנך ילדי ישראל, שעל כל אחד מישראל נאמר בנים אתם לה' אלקיכם, ובפרט ע"פ פתגם הידוע של הבעש"ט, אשר אהבת השם לכ"א מישראל הוא באין ערוך יותר מאהבת הורים זקנים לבן יחידם שנולד להם לעת זקנותם.
