Volume 23 · Letter 275 · To: dirigeantes de l’association des femmes ‘Habad

By the grace of Hashem,

8 Adar Rishon* 5725,

Brooklyn,

To the directors of the association of Chabad* women, in

the city of New Haven, may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless you and greet you,

I learned with pleasure of the activity of your group and of the last meeting that was convened, as well as of the warm motivation of the participants, as specified in the letter of Mrs. Sarah Deutsch. May Hashem grant that this introduction be at a good moment and in a positive manner.

The activities you describe and those who take part in them will, in the words of the Sidrah* of this week, be "to raise the perpetual light." One will therefore ensure that the Jewish light, the soul of a Jew, of which it is said: "the light of Hashem is the soul of man," be bright in each person, that it permanently illuminate the home and the surroundings, materially and spiritually. In this way, without a doubt, one will attract the greatest number of Jewish women, in the spirit of what has just been said, in accordance with the demands and hopes of our masters and leaders, whose merit protects us. With my blessing to give me good tidings very soon,
