I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of 8 Shevat*, in which you write to me about what is known (note 1: A seminal loss. See, regarding this, letter no. 8686.). You must completely forget all of this and you will consult, in this regard, the responsa of the Tzemach Tzedek*, gate of the addenda, in vol. 2 (note 2: In the edition of 5744 (1984), Orach Chaim*, vol. 2, chapter 108. See the Igros Kodesh* of the Tzemach Tzedek*, vol. 1, letter no. 26.). You will increase the words of the Torah* and of prayer. Likewise, you will memorize at least several chapters of Mishnah* and Tanya*. You will give Tzedakah* on multiple occasions, even if the final sum remains the same (note 3: Only the number of times one gives being multiplied.), as indicated by the Rambam*, in his commentary on the Mishnah* (note 4: In Tractate* Avos*, chapter 3, Mishnah* 15.). You will also consult Igeres HaKodesh*, of the Alter Rebbe*, chapter 21. With my blessing,
