To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself

to communal needs, Rav* Shlomo (note 1: Rav* S. Perrin. See, regarding him, letters no. 6775 and 7965.),

I greet you and bless you,

It goes without saying that I very often inquire about your news and I receive good ones, regarding your state of health, as well as your activities for the Beis Lubavitch* (note 2: Of London.). We are approaching the auspicious day, the Hilulah* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, and, quite naturally, we remember all the good friends who perpetuate his sacred work, on the various fronts, in the wide world — not only to maintain the positions won at the cost of great effort, but also to strengthen and broaden them, to fortify the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, to disseminate the wellsprings (note 3: Of Chassidus*, outward.). And, one can be certain that my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, watches over, implores, and prays for all his "soldiers," so that they know success in the mission entrusted to them and that they be blessed in all their needs, both material and spiritual.

On this occasion, your name will be mentioned, in particular, near the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*. And, may Hashem grant that the merit of your actions for the institutions of the one whose Hilulah* we celebrate protect you, as well as the members of your family, so as to receive abundantly the blessings of Hashem, in all the domains where they are necessary, in particular for the improvement of your state of health and for the clarity of your eyes, very soon.
