By the grace of Hashem,

Monday (note 1: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "According to the same calendar setting as in the year of the birth of the Rebbe Rashab*, as indicated in the Chanoch LaNaar*.") of Parshas* Chayei Sarah* (note 2: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "See the study of this day of Chumash* with Rashi's* commentary: 'And Avraham* was old.' Tractate* Yoma* 28b specifies: 'And he resided in the Yeshivah*.' Then, 'And Hashem blessed Avraham* with everything (Bakol*).' I greet you and bless you,

We are on the anniversary of the birth of the Rebbe Rashab* (note 3: This letter was addressed to several people. See Likkutei Sichos*, vol. 5, p. 415.), founder of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*, which he directed through the intermediary of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, and with his collaboration. Both of them gave of themselves for this creation and for this direction, to the point of displaying the greatest self-sacrifice for the Yeshivah* and, above all, for its students, the Temimim*. Now, the words of the righteous and, all the more so, their actions are eternal and immutable, exerting their influence at all times.

May Hashem therefore grant that on this propitious day and after this date, all the students, the Temimim*, as well as all those who follow their ways and their paths (note 4: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "See Igeres HaKodesh*, chapter 27, the Zohar*, vol. 2, p. 215a and Likkutei Torah*, Shir HaShirim*, p. 12b.") receive increased light, vitality, and strength (note 5: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "See the Chassidic* discourse entitled: 'You are all standing,' of 5674."), in all their needs, spiritual and material. Above all, they will be "candles to illuminate" (note 6: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "See the Shulchan Aruch* of the Alter Rebbe*, Orach Chaim*, chapter 298, paragraph 17."), in accordance with the hope of the founders and directors of the Yeshivah*, the Rebbe Rashab* and my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. והרי דברי צדיקים ועאכו"כ העשי' שלהם, קיימים לעולם ופועלים פעולתם,

יהי רצון שביום זכאי זה וממנו ולהבא, יושפע בכאו"א מתלמידי התמימים ובכל ההולכים בדרכיו ואורחותיו תוספת אור וחיות וכח בעניניהם הרוחנים ובעניניהם הגשמים,
