I have duly received your letter of 18 Tishrei*. This month has now elapsed and it concludes with the time of our joy (note 2: The festival of Sukkos*.), in particular with Simchas Torah*, whose purpose is to instill joy for the entire year (note 3: See, regarding this, letter no. 8688.). May Hashem therefore grant that this be so regarding the content of your letter and, more generally, that you announce good tidings to me, of a good that is visible and tangible. With my blessing to give me good tidings of all this,
