It is (note 1: This letter is addressed to Rav Shneur Zalman HaLevi Duchman and was written on his correspondence of 11 Elul 5724. See, regarding him, letters no. 8489, 8882, and 9007.) a pity (note 2: Rav Duchman wrote to the Rebbe*: "The studies are not interrupted on Sunday, Heaven forbid. Nevertheless, the number of participants was then smaller. I enclose for the Rebbe* the list of participants for the four weeks and may Hashem grant that upon the return from vacation, they be more numerous.") that no effort was made to gather at least ten participants, in accordance with the wondrous words (note 3: See, regarding this, the following letter.) of the Alter Rebbe*, on this subject, in Igeres HaKodesh* (note 4: In chapter 23.).

חבל: במכתבו: כאשר הלימוד בכל יום א' בשבוע לא נפסק ח"ו אך נתמעטו הלומדים, ע"כ אני שולח הרשימה בעד ארבעה שבועות ונקוה להשי"ת כי כאשר יבואו מנאות דשא יתרבו המשתתפים בענין זה בעזהשי"ת.
