By the grace of Hashem,

may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless you and greet you,

We are in the days of the liberation, that of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us, which is also our deliverance and the freedom of our souls. Now, you must know to what extent he was interested in perfecting everything that concerns women, as he himself specified and wrote, on numerous occasions. This was, moreover, one of the essential reasons for which he disseminated several of his discourses in Yiddish, which was the commonly spoken language, at that time, in the regions where he found himself (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 3243). In this instance, a true improvement is one that exercises its effect on daily conduct, that renders it in conformity with the teachings of our Torah*, Torah* of life and its Mitzvos*, of which it is said (note 3: Vayikra* 18, 5): "One shall live by them."

He conducted these actions with devotion and self-sacrifice, to the point of giving of his very self, as is well known. Now, the lessons delivered by the righteous and their accomplishments are immutable and they take effect, even subsequently, including much later. I hope that each one of you, among all the women and young women of Yisrael*, to whom Hashem will grant long life, will draw a lesson from the account of these days of the liberation and of their central idea. Indeed, every man, every woman sincerely desiring to put into practice the Torah* and its Mitzvos*, receives the entire possibility and the means to fulfill (note 4: The Rebbe* underlines the word: "fulfill") this desire fully.

May Hashem grant that it be so in good health, in joy and enthusiasm. And, the merit of all of this will protect you, so that you observe a good fruit of your effort, of this sacred effort. With my blessing to give me good news of all of this,

בעמדנו בימי הגאולה, גאולת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שהיא גם גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו,

אשר בודאי ידוע להן התענינותו בתקנת נשי ובנות ישראל ועניניהן.

- וכפי שאמר וגם כתב כמה וכמה פעמים (וזו גם היתה מהסיבות הראשונות לפרסומו כמה משיחותיו הק' באידיש, בלשון המדוברת באותן המדינות בם הי' בימים ההם) -

תקנה אמיתית, ז.א. עד שתפעול בהנהגה היום-יומית, שתהא מתאימה בכל להוראות תורתנו תורת חיים ומצוותי' עליהן נאמר וחי בהם.

וגם פעולות אלו עשה במסירה ונתינה ועד למסירת נפש, וכידוע ומפורסם.

וכיון אשר הוראות צדיקים ומעשיהם קיימים ופועלים פעולתם גם לאחרי זמן אפילו לאחרי זמן רב.

התקוה אשר תלמד כל אחת ואחת מהן, בתוככי כללות נשי ובנות ישראל, ה' עליהן תחיינה, לקח פרשת ימי גאולה אלה ונקודתם.

אשר כל איש ואשה הרוצים באמת לקיים התורה ומצותי' - אפשריות מלאה ויכולת ניתנה להם למלאות רצונם זה במילואו.

ויהי רצון שיהי' כל האמור מתוך בריאות הנכונה שמחה וטוב לבב, וזכות כל זה גם יעמוד להן לראות פרי טוב בעמלן, עמל קודש זה.
