I greet you and bless you,

You have surely received the copy of the telegram I sent on the occasion of the laying of the cornerstone (note 2: Of the Beis Shazar, at Kfar Chabad*. See, on this subject, letters no. 8850 and 8851). I would like, more particularly, to express to you once again, by the present, all my thanks for your efforts and for the help you have provided until now. Without doubt, in the future, you will increase all of this, in conformity with the teaching of our Sages (note 3: In tractate Berachos* 28a) according to which one knows elevation in the domain of holiness. Nevertheless, I know your family and I know you yourself. I therefore know that there is no reason to thank you in this matter. Despite this, given the importance of what has been accomplished and the great satisfaction I have derived from it, I had to clearly convey to you the feelings of my heart.

May Hashem grant that these propitious days awaken in each one of us a true motivation to follow the path traced by the one whose liberation we celebrate, to continue his work and his accomplishments, to maintain his holy institutions, to strengthen the dissemination of the Torah* and its Mitzvos* in daily existence, in a ceaselessly increasing manner. Your merit will protect you and protect each one of us so that we all have considerable success, both materially and spiritually. With my respects and my blessing,

ובזה רצוני להביע לכ' בפרט עוד הפעם תשואות חן חן בעד השתדלותו ועזרתו עד עתה, אשר להבא בודאי יוסיף כציווי חכמינו ז"ל להעלות בקדש. ברם בהכירי משפחתו ובידעי את כ' לכאורה אין מקום לנתינת תודה בענין כזה, אף על פי כן לגודל הענין וגודל הנחת-רוח הגדתי לו רחשי לבי במפורש.

ויהי רצון אשר ימי סגולה אלו יעוררו בכל אחד ואחד מאתנו התעוררות אמתית ללכת בעקבותיו של בעל הגאולה ולהמשיך עבודתו ומפעליו ומוסדותיו הק' להחזקת והפצת התורה ומצוותי' בחיי היום-יום, באופן דמוסיף והולך, וזכותו יעמוד לכ' ולכל אחד מאתנו להצליח בהצלחה מופלגה, בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
