To the attention of the distinguished and pleasant Chassid*, elected by the people,

who surpasses them, seeks the good of his people, has

generous ways, is from an illustrious family,

the Rav* Shneur Zalman (note 1: Sh. Z. Shazar, President of Eretz Yisrael*. See, regarding him, letter no. 8682) Shlita*,

I greet you and bless you,

I learned, with pleasure (note 2: See the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 23, at page 371), that the synagogue, center of Torah* and youth education, which will be built in Kfar Chabad* will bear your name (note 3: See, on this subject, letters no. 8851 and 8853), in accordance with the request of the donor. Of course, I rejoiced at this, even though this sole symbolic act does not express all the value and the greatness of your grandiose accomplishments for the benefit of Kfar Chabad*. I wonder whether the honorable donor is aware of the particularly active part you took in the founding of the Kfar.

And, my joy was redoubled when I learned that the laying of the cornerstone of this building would be linked to the celebration of the festival of the liberation of 12 and 13 Tammuz* and of the fifteenth anniversary of the founding of Kfar Chabad*. The two events are distinguished in the three dimensions that are world, year and soul (note 4: Space, time and spirituality), as I indicated in the telegram addressed to Mr. Yitzchak Aizik Wolfson, of which I enclose a copy. Without doubt, you will personally participate in these two celebrations. But, you would, in any case, have gone to Kfar Chabad*, on these propitious days of the liberation. With my consideration, my respects and my blessing, on the occasion of the festival of the liberation,

בנועם קבלתי הבשורה שבית הכנסת ומרכז תורני וחינוכי לנוער שיוקם בכפר חב"ד, הנה על פי הצעת המנדב שי' ייקרא על שמו של כ'. וכמובן ששמחתי לידיעה זו, אף שאין ענין סמלי זה לחוד מעריך ומדגים את מפעליו הכבירים בעניני כפר חב"ד.

ומסופקני אם המנדב הנכבד מכיר בחלקו הכי פעיל של כ' בהתיסדות הכפר.

ומשנה שמחה הי' להוודע שהנחת אבן הפינה של בנין הנ"ל תהי' קשורה עם חגיגת ימי הגאולה י"ב-י"ג תמוז ושנת הט"ו ליסוד כפר חב"ד, שיתיחדו בזה כל ג' הבחינות עולם שנה נפש, וכמו שרמזתי במברק למר יצחק אייזיק וואולפסאן שי', שהעתקתו מצ"ב.

ובודאי שכ' ישתתף אישית בטקס החגיגות הנ"ל, נוסף שבטח בין כך הי' נוכח בכפר חב"ד בימי הגאולה וסגולה אלו.
