I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of this Monday, in which you briefly describe what you have experienced. You conclude by considering various hypotheses regarding your settlement, in the immediate future. According to your description of the situation, you are already in the United States. There is therefore no reason to leave. It is preferable to make use of your knowledge, your contacts and your work, in recent years, in the service of education based on sacred values, in order to find a position that suits you. Hashem nourishes the entire world and provides for its needs, in His goodness, with grace, beneficence and mercy (note 1: According to the text of the blessing after the meal). It is therefore certain that He will enable you to earn your livelihood, in the fitting place and in the fitting manner.

You consider the adoption of a child (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 8700). You surely know the difficulties and complications that result from this. First and foremost, it is forbidden to be close, to embrace, to hug, which is practically impossible to avoid. Before making a decision in this matter, you will therefore verify all of this with a Rav*, who decides the Halachah*, since you are personally involved (note 3: And therefore incapable of objectivity).

It would be good to have your Tefillin* checked, as well as the Mezuzos* of your dwelling, to make sure they conform to the Halachah*, if this has not been done in the last twelve months. At a propitious moment, your name and that of your wife will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us. With my blessing to give me good news of all of this,

במענה למכתבו מיום השני, בו כותב ראשי פרקים מאשר עבר עליהם ומסיים בסברות שונות ע"ד הסתדרותם בעתיד הקרוב.

וע"פ שמתאר המצב ונמצאים הם כבר בארצוה"ב אין כדאי לנסוע מכאן, כי אם לנצל ההיכירות שלו הקשרים ועבודתו כאן בשנים שעברו בחינוך על טהרת הקדש למען למצוא עבודה מתאימה בשבילו.

והשי"ת הזן ומפרנס את העולם כולו בטובו בחן ובחסד וברחמים ימציא להם פרנסתם במקום המתאים ובאופן המתאים.

לכתבו אודות אמוץ ילד - בודאי ידועים לו הקישוים והתסבוכת הבאים בעקבות אמוץ; וקודם לכל איסור הקירוב חבוק ונשוק וכו' שכמעט אי אפשר להזהר מזה, אשר לכן קודם שיחליטו בזה יברר כל האמור ביחד עם רב מורה הוראה (שהרי הם הנוגעים בדבר).

ומהנכון אשר יבדקו את התפילין שלו וכן את המזוזות בדירתם שתהיינה כולן כשרות כדין - באם לא נעשה כזה במשך שנים עשר חדש האחרונים -

בעת רצון יזכירו אותו ואת זוגתו תחי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
