Volume 23 · Letter 163 · To: participants au repas annuel du comité de New York

By the grace of Hashem,

27 Sivan* 5724,

Brooklyn, New York,

To the participants at the annual dinner of the New York committee

for the teachers seminary and the vocational schools

for young women of Kfar Chabad* in our

Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt,

may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless you and greet you,

I was happy to learn that your annual dinner will take place on the first day of Rosh Chodesh* Tammuz* (note 1: See the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 33, at page 283). This month receives a particular significance for each and every one, within all of Yisrael*. As is known, it was indeed on the 12th and 13th of Tammuz* that my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, leader of our generation, was liberated from the Soviet prisons and from exile.

You surely have knowledge of the self-sacrificing work of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, to strengthen and disseminate the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, especially in the domain of education based on sacred values (note 2: The Rebbe* underlines the words: "education based on sacred values" and "grows"). This is one of the immutable moral legacies that my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, left to all of Yisrael*, in particular to each man and each woman having a connection with Chabad*. And, it is from this legacy that we draw renewed strength to continue his sacred work. This work is also the perpetual source conveying divine blessings for each and every one of those who take part in his institutions, who support them. A fortiori is this the case for schools based on sacred values. Your action has, furthermore, the quality of concerning institutions located in our Holy Land, in Kfar Chabad*, which my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, founded and which he appreciated enormously.

May Hashem grant that your action continue with great success, that it develop more and more broadly, like everything that lives and grows (note 2). Likewise, may the blessings of Hashem that are linked to this action ceaselessly expand, for yourselves and for all the members of your family, in all your needs, material and spiritual. With my blessing of success and to give me good news,
