To the great Rav*, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, of

multiple accomplishments for the Torah* and the Mitzvos*,

of vast knowledge, who renders judgment, leads his

community in righteousness, the Rav S. (note 1: The Rav Shalom Messas, of Casablanca) Shlita*,

I greet you generously and bless you,

Through the intermediary (note 2: See the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 7, at page 284) of the Rav*, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, of multiple accomplishments, the Rav Y. L. Raskin (note 3: The Rav Yehudah Leib Raskin, of Casablanca. See, regarding him, letter no. 8780), I have duly received your request for a blessing for your son Maimon, to whom Hashem will grant long life. At a propitious moment, his name will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us, in conformity with your request. May Hashem cause that you announce to me, very soon, good news regarding him, of a visible and tangible good.

We are in the month of Nissan*, that of deliverance, in particular from everything that constitutes an obstacle to a service of Hashem filled with joy and enthusiasm. It is also the period of the Omer*, which is not counted (note 4: As the Torah Or*, Parshas Mikeitz*, at page 34b, and the Sefer HaMitzvos*, of the Tzemach Tzedek*, at page 28a explain) with ordinal numbers, "first," "second," but indeed with cardinal numbers, "one," "two," thus rising from one stage to another, while preserving the stages of the past, practicing an addition in the domains of holiness. As the books of the Science of Truth explain (note 5: See the Likkutei Torah* Bamidbar*, from page 12a), the days of this period allow elevation through the forty-nine gates of holiness, the ultimate stage being the fiftieth gate, as it is said: "You shall count fifty days."

Your son will therefore also know elevation and improvement, regarding his physical health, within all the people of Yisrael*. Indeed, one knows what is the value of a Jewish body. In the terms of the Admur HaZaken*, "You have chosen us from among all the nations and languages: this refers to the body, in its coarseness." And, one will consult, on this subject, chapter 49 of the holy Tanya*. Your sacred actions for the holy institutions that bear the name of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, near whose holy resting place this request for blessing will be read, will protect you in all that has just been said. With my respects and my blessing for a good Shabbos*, as well as to give me good news,

ובעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע מתאים לתוכן הבקשה, ויהי רצון אשר בעגלא דידן יבשר כת"ר טוב בהנ"ל, טוב הנראה והנגלה.

והרי נמצאים אנו בחדש ניסן, הוא חדש הגאולה, כולל גם גאולה מכל ענינים המבלבלים לעבודת השם בשמחה וטוב לבב.

ובימי הספירה, שאופן הספירה הוא לא מספר סדורי, (ראשון שני) כי אם אחד שנים, היינו שעולים מדרגא לדרגא נוסף על וגם כולל הדרגות שבעבר, הוספה בשערי קדושה, כמבואר בספרי חכמת האמת, ענין ימי הספירה לעלות למ"ט שערי קדושה ועד לתכלית שער הנו"ן וכמ"ש תספרו חמשים יום.

הנה כן גם תהי' עלי' והטבה גם בנוגע לבריאות הגוף דהנ"ל בתוככי כלל ישראל, וכידוע גודל מעלת גוף הישראלי, ובלשון רבנו הזקן ובנו בחרת מכל עם ולשון הוא הגוף החומרי (עיין ספר תניא קדישא פרק מ"ט).

ופעולות כת"ר בקדש לטובת מוסדות הק' אשר על שם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר אשר על הציון הק' יקרא הפ"נ, תעמוד להנ"ל בהאמור.
