To Mr. Avraham Krinitzi (note 1: See, regarding him, letters no. 7447 and 8572),

I greet you and bless you,

I have not had news from you directly for a very long time, but, of course, I obtain them through the men of Kfar Chabad* who, from time to time, also inform me of the keen interest that you manifest for what concerns the Kfar*, as a pragmatic man, of multiple accomplishments. And, this takes the form of concrete support, in particular for the gardens and the flowers, which are also the characteristic of Ramat Gan* (note 2: Literally, "the hill of the garden").

Following up on our discussion, when you were here, I cannot remain silent, nor refrain from adding that true flowers do not have as their sole purpose to be beautiful to see. Above all, they produce fruits and "fruits of fruits," pleasant to eat and indispensable for the perpetuation of the species. In the spiritual dimension, among Jews, and in the terms commonly employed by our Sages (note 3: See tractate Sotah* 46a), "the fruits designate the Mitzvos*" and the good deeds, which are beautiful and aesthetic, allow perpetuation, immutable continuity throughout all generations.

We will conclude by evoking the days of Purim*, which have just passed and which bring: "light, joy, gladness and value" to all Jews. May therefore Hashem cause that it be so for you and for all your family, within all of Yisrael*. Thus, in good health, you will continue your actions destined to develop our land, which is described as the Holy Land* (note 4: The Rebbe* underlines the words: "Holy Land"), also because it unites the earthly aspect and holiness until making of them a single entity. שלום וברכה!

אף שזמן רב לא שמעתי מכ' באופן ישיר, אבל מובן שמקבל אני פ"ש מאנשי כפר חב"ד, שמודיעים לי גם כן מזמן לזמן על דבר התענינותו הערה בעניני הכפר, וכאיש מעשי ורב פעלים הרי זו מתבטאת בעזרה ממשית, ובפרט בנוגע לגנים ופרחים, שהיא ג"כ הסיסמה של רמת גן.

ובהמשך לשיחתנו כשהי' כאן, עצור מלים לא אוכל, להוסיף שבודאי הפרחים האמתיים ענינם לא רק להרהיב העין, אלא בעיקר לעשות פירות ופירי פירות טובים למאכל והכרחיים לקיום המין. ובמובן הרוחני אצל יהודים, וכלשון השגור בפי חכמינו ז"ל, אין פירות אלא מצוות ומעשים טובים שיפים והדורים הם ונותנים המשך וקיום נצחי לדורות ודורי דורות.

ולסיים מימי הפורים דאזלינן מהם, המביאים אורה ושמחה וששון ויקר לכל היהודים, יהי רצון שכן תהי' לו ולכל אשר לו בתוככי כלל ישראל, ושבבריאות הנכונה ימשיך בפעולותיו בישוב ארצנו, אשר ארץ הקדש יקרא לה, שגם בזה חיבור ארציות וקדושה, ועד שנעשה דבר אחד.
