(A) It (note 1: See the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 26, at page 448) is certain (note 2: The Rebbe* underlines the words: "certain," "generality," "surely," "master" and "you will consult") that the fact of not sending a letter (note 3: To protest, to a certain community, against the mixed dances that were practiced there at the time) will have no contribution to repairing and improving the situation. On the other hand, even if the fact of actually sending it does not free one from doubt about the problem in its generality, it will surely allow a few persons to avoid such a practice. Out of respect and for other reasons as well, one should address, in the first instance, the Rav, master of the synagogue, write to him!

(B) You will consult the Parshah* of this Shabbos*. Indeed, Moshe* declares therein: "You brought sin upon him!" (note 4: Upon the people of Yisrael*, by allowing the golden calf to be made) and Aharon* justifies himself: "You know that this people does evil." Now, for our Sages, it is quite evident that Moshe* was right and because of this, an expiation was necessary for Aharon*, as the Toras Kohanim* underscores on the verse Shemini* 9:2.
