By the grace of Hashem,

8 Shevat* 5724,

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of the 8th of Shevat*, with your request for a blessing that will be read, at a propitious moment, near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us. You speak to me about the thoughts that trouble you. I am very surprised by this, all the more so since you had the merit of studying, for a long period, in the holy Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*. Now, holiness does not leave its place (note 1: See, on this subject, the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 14, at page 313). You have, in particular, studied Chassidus*, which explains what is divine Providence* (note 2: See the first part of the Tanya*, at chapter 43), which underscores that Hashem is the Essence of good, that it is in the nature of the One Who is good to do good. It would be wise for you to learn Psalm 23, with various commentaries. And, from time to time, you will review this text.

Likewise, it would be good to have your Tefillin* checked, if this has not been done in the last twelve months. Indeed, these days are propitious, in proximity to the 10th of Shevat*, Hilula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, near whose holy resting place your name will be mentioned. With my blessing to give me good news of all this,

במענה למכתבו מה' שבט עם הפ"נ שיקרא בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע,

בו כותב אודות מחשבות של דאגה וכו'.

ולפלא גדול ובפרט שהרי זכה ולמד כמה זמן בישיבה הק' תומכי תמימים (וקדושה אינה זזה ממקומה) כולל לימוד תורת החסידות המבארת ענין ההשגחה פרטית ושהוא יתברך עצם הטוב ומטבע הטוב להיטיב וכו' ומה טוב שילמוד סי' כ"ג בספר תהלים עם כמה מפרשים ומזמן לזמן יחזור על סימן זה.

כן מהנכון אשר יבדקו את התפילין שלו - באם לא נעשה כזה במשך שנים עשר חדש האחרונים -

והרי הימים ימי סגולה בסמיכות ליו"ד שבט יום הילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שעל הציון הק' שלו יזכירוהו.
