By the grace of Hashem,

To the great Rav, distinguished and pleasant Chassid*, of good

conduct and multiple accomplishments,

a man of elevation, descended from an illustrious family,

the Rav Yitzchak Meir HaKohen (note 1: Rav Y. M. Lewin. See, regarding him, letters no. 7598 and 8464),

I greet you and bless you,

I join all those who address their good wishes to you, on the occasion of your seventieth birthday. I wish you long days and good years. You will observe the good fruit of your work and you will derive satisfaction from it, you will be satiated with joy.

In conformity with our custom, based on an instruction of my father-in-law, the Rebbe* (note 2: See the Igros Kodesh* of the Rebbe Rayatz*, volume 10, at letter no. 3355), each one recites daily the Psalm corresponding to the number of his years. Yours is henceforth Psalm 71 and may Hashem fulfill for you what is said therein: "I will attain to the forces of vigor" (note 3: Which correspond to the age of eighty years). הנני מצטרף לקהל מברכיו לרגלי יום הולדת השבעים ומאחל לכת"ר אורך ימים ושנים טובות ולראות פרי טוב ונח"ר בעמלו בשובע שמחות.

ועל פי מנהגנו, בהוראת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, לומר כל אחד בכל יום המזמור תהלים המתאים לימי שנותיו, יהי רצון שכיון שעכשיו שייך לכת"ר מזמור ע"א - יקויים בו המדובר במזמור זה - אבוא בגבורות וגו'.
