By the grace of Hashem,

eve of the 24th of Teves* 5724,

Hilula* of the Admur HaZaken*,

Brooklyn,

To the young women of Chabad*, may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless you and greet you,

I have learned, with pleasure, of your good decision (note 1: See, on this subject, the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 16, at page 494), which was immediately followed by action, that of offering the gift of your pure heart for the fund of one hundred and fifty (note 2: Established on the occasion of the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the passing of the Admur HaZaken*. See, on this subject, letter no. 8599 and the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 9, at page 345). Moreover, this action reinforces even more clearly my hope and my conviction that you will do all that is in your power to follow the ways that the Admur HaZaken* taught us, within all of Yisrael*, as his books and discourses explain, and more broadly, the discourses and talks of our masters, whose merit will protect us, the chiefs of Chabad*. This will apply to daily existence and will include, moreover, the Injunction (note 3: According to tractate Berachos* 28a) to increase this commitment, to ascend in the domain of holiness. For a Precept of the Torah* (note 4: See, on this subject, letter no. 8704) is also a force granted, a help (note 5: To put it into practice).

May Hashem cause that this hope be fully satisfied, that each one of you be a source of true satisfaction, of Chassidic* satisfaction, for her parents, a living example for all the daughters of Yisrael*, wherever they may be. For this is one of the essential means to disseminate the wellsprings (note 6: Of Chassidus*) to the outside. With my blessing of success in all that has just been said, in good health, with joy and enthusiasm,

נעם לי להודע מהחלטתן הטובה, ואשר הביאה תומ"י לפועל, נדבת לבן הט' לקרן ה'ק"ן.

ובפרט אשר פעולה האמורה מחזקת עוד יותר התקוה והבטחון, אשר תעשינה את התלוי בהן ללכת בדרכים אשר הורה אדה"ז אותנו בתכ"י, כמבואר בספריו ובמאמריו, ובביאור רחב במאמרים ושיחות של רבותינו זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיאי חב"ד,

בהנהגה בחיי היום יומים וכוללת גם כן מילוי הציווי להוסיף בכל האמור ולהעלות בקדש.

והרי ציויי התורה הוא ג"כ נתינת כח וסיוע.

ויהי רצון אש תמולא התקוה האמורה במילואה, ותהי' כל אחת ואחת מהן מקור נחת רוח אמיתי, הוא נחת חסידותי, להוריהם שי'.

ותהי' כל אחת ואחת מהן - דוגמא חי' לכל בנות ישראל תי' בכל מקום שהן.

והרי גם זה אחד הדרכים העיקרים להפצת המעינות חוצה.
