To Mrs. Zlota (note 1: Z. Althuiz. See, regarding her, letter no. 6646),

I bless you and greet you,

I have duly received your letter of the 3rd of Teves*, as well as the one that preceded it, for which you have surely already received my response. You mention the home and you ask me what else you can do. Of course, above all, that is to say, perhaps even before sending books, it is necessary to receive guests there, in particular young brides, and to disseminate the wellsprings (note 2: Of Chassidus*) there. A Jewish woman is the mistress of her home and Hashem therefore grants her the necessary strength to accomplish all of this, in a positive manner, even if you are right to note that it is no longer as before. For when one spreads good, one receives specific help from Hashem. It is no doubt unnecessary to explain to you at length that this is one of the means of procuring the greatest satisfaction for the soul (note 3: Of the deceased husband of the addressee of this letter, Rav Pinchas Althuiz. See, on this subject, letter no. 8699) and of acting for its elevation.

May Hashem cause that you accomplish all of this with energy and in good health. Hashem will finally grant you His blessing and this will take place with enthusiasm, with the satisfaction and joy that your children will give you.

הריני מאשר קבלת מכתבה מג׳ טבת וכן הקודם ,שבטח כבר קיבלה

את המענה עליו.

לכתבה אודות הבית וכו׳ ומה עוד ביכולתה לעשות -מובן שלכל לראש

)ואולי עוד יותר חשוב ממשלוח ספרים( ,שהבית יתנהל בהכנסת אורחים,

ובפרט הכנסת אורחים כזו הקשורה בהכנסת כלה או הפצת המעינות וכו׳,

וכיון שאשה יהודי׳ היא הרי עקרת הבית ,מובן שהשם יתברך נותן כח לפעול

זאת ,באופן טוב )מבלי הבט על כך שהיא צודקת שאין זה כבעבר( ,שכן

בהפצת טוב יש סיוע מיוחד מלמעלה ,ובטח הרי מיותר להאריך ,שזהו אחד

האופנים ,ומהכי נעלים ,של נחת רוח לנשמה ושל עשי׳ לעילוי הנשמה.

והשם יתברך יעזור שתעשה בזה בתוספת מרץ ובבריאות טובה,

וסוף סוף השם יתברך יברך אותה שזה יהי׳ בטוב לבב ועד וגם מתוך

נחת ושמחה מיו״ח שי׳. . .
