By the grace of Hashem,

To the attention of the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and

devotes himself to communal needs, has generous

conduct, is descended from an illustrious family,

the Rav Shneur Zalman (note 1: S. Z. Shazar. See, regarding him, letter no. 8254) Shlita*,

I greet you and bless you,

This Shabbos* was the anniversary of the birth of the two great luminaries (note 2: The Baal Shem Tov* and the Admur HaZaken*). This moment is therefore propitious to contact you, at least in writing. I hope that you yourself, despite your many occupations, celebrated this propitious day in the manner that is fitting.

I seize this opportunity not only to express my gratitude for the benevolence and the interest that you showed to the leaders of Kfar Chabad* when they visited you, as they wrote to me, but also to send you the copy of a letter that I wrote these days (note 3: This presumably refers to the preceding letter). I know all the interest you take in education. It will therefore surely receive your full attention. With my respects and my blessing that you be inscribed and sealed for a good year,

בבואינו משבת זו, יום הולדת שני המאורות הגדולים, שעת כושר היא להתייחד את כ' בכתב עכ"פ, ותקותי אשר גם כ', למרות טרדותיו המרובות, ציין יום סגולה זה באופן המתאים.

בהזדמנות זו, נוסף על הבעת תודה לכ' בעד הספ"י וההתענינות הרבה שהראה לבאי כוח כפר חב"ד בביקורם אצלו, כפי אשר כתבו לי, רצוני לשלוח לכ' העתק מכתב שכתבתי ימים אלו. ובידעי התענינותו העמוקה בשטח החינוך, בטח ימצא ענין במכתב זה.
