To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

the Rav Yerachmiel (note 1: Rav Y. Tzafnas, of Birmingham),

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of this Wednesday. At a propitious moment, your name and those you cite will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us, in conformity with the content of your letter. May Hashem cause that you give me good news thereof.

Your actions to strengthen Judaism and disseminate it in every place where your influence extends, and above all within the framework of your holy community, will surely protect you in order to obtain that the wish of your heart be positively fulfilled (note 2: Presumably that of having children). In this matter, "to whoever adds (note 3: Efforts for the service of Hashem), one adds (note 4: Blessings)" and one is assured of obtaining celestial aid, for one comes to the aid of those who desire to purify themselves (note 5: In tractate Yoma* 38b). Moreover, the Admur HaZaken*, whose one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the passing Hilula* we celebrate this year, specifies (note 6: In the Likkutei Torah*, commentaries on Shemini Atzeres*) that this includes also the fact of purifying others. With my respects and my blessing in order to give me good news of all that has been said.

ופעולותיו בהחזקת היהדות והפצתה בכל מקום שידו מגעת, וקהלתו קדישא לכל לראש, בודאי אשר תעמוד לו למילוי משאלות לבבו לטובה, ובכגון זה כל המוסיף מוסיפין לו, ומובטחים בסיוע מלמעלה שהרי הבא לטהר, וידוע דיוק רבנו הזקן - אשר השנה שנת המאה וחמשים להסתלקות הילולא שלו - הבא לטהר גם אחרים, מסייעין אותו.
