I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of 4/12/62 and I thank you for having declared yourself ready to offer your help (note 2: Perhaps for the development of Kfar Chabad*), finding yourself in Persia (note 3: On the occasion of a visit to Iran).

Of course, I read with satisfaction, at the beginning of your letter, that, in the framework of your work of planning and development of the Arad strip, you took care of the construction of a synagogue worthy of the name. Without doubt, you did the same for the other religious institutions. And, I have good hope that your successors for the development of this strip and of all the others will follow your example, that they will advance in the same direction. May Hashem cause all of this to know advancement, adding, multiplying and illuminating, as the days of Chanukah* that we have just lived indicate and from which we receive the influence. With my respects and my blessing,

You will surely be interested to learn that one of the publications of our Merkaz LeInyonei Chinuch* was translated into Persian. Nevertheless, for a certain reason, this enterprise was interrupted and the other pamphlets of the same series were not translated. I do not know whether this falls within your competence. In any event, I lose nothing by communicating this information to you.

הנני לאשר קבלת מכתבו מ-62/12/4, ות"ח עבור נכונותו להיות לעזר בהיותו בפרס.

מובן שנעם לי במיוחד לקרוא בהתחלת מכתבו שבמשך הזמן שעבד בתכנון ובפתוח חבל ערד דאג להקמת בית כנסת ראוי לשמו, ובודאי הוא הדין בנוגע לשאר מוסדות הדת. תקותי שהבאים אחריו בפתוח חבל זה ואחרים ילכו בעקבותיו להמשיך בקו זה.

ויהי רצון שיתקדמו הענינים באופן דמוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור, כהוראת ימי חנוכה שהננו באים מהם ומושפעים מהם.

בטח יענין את כ' לדעת שאחת מהחוברות שהופיעו על ידי המרכז לעניני חינוך שלנו נתרגמה לשפה הפרסית ומפני סיבה נפסק הדבר ולא נתרגמו שאר החוברות מסוג זה. איני יודע אם זהו בשטח שלו, ובכל אופן לא הפסדתי בהודיעי אותו גם זה.
