Sunday of the Parshas*: "He will command

his children and they will keep the way of

Hashem" (note 1: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "One can deduce from this that Avraham* taught the Torah* to his children, according to the Midrash* Bereishis Rabbah* and the Midrash Tanchuma*, at the end of the Parshas Vayigash*. Thus, 'they will keep the way' alludes to the study of the Torah*, according to the Or HaTorah*, of the Tzemach Tzedek*, on this verse, which one will consult") 5723,

To all our brethren, the children of Israel,

who cherish the Torah* and the Mitzvos*,

may Hashem grant them long life,

I greet you and bless you,

With the help of Hashem, the inauguration of the central buildings of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, in Kfar Chabad*, will take place in Kislev*, the month of miracles and of deliverance, which approaches for us and for all of Israel, for the good. On this occasion, I address my blessing, a blessing of Mazal Tov*, to all the participants in the great feast (note 2: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "See the Midrash* of our Sages on the verse Vayeira* 21, 8: 'a great feast'") of this great house (note 3: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "See tractate Megillah* 27a").

I also address myself, with fervor, to all the friends and to those who support the Yeshivah*, in particular to our brethren, the children of Israel, who cherish the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, in general, so that the inauguration of these buildings motivate them even more clearly, that they intensify their eager efforts, so that this construction be completed as quickly as possible, that the debts contracted at the different phases of the work be repaid, that this Yeshivah* be permitted to grow and to expand, quantitatively and qualitatively, in conformity with the needs and the necessity of the moment.

If at all times and at every moment, it has been a vital need to enlarge the tents of the Torah*, how much more is this the case in our land, the country (note 4: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "And, the Torah* is also qualified as holy, according to the Zohar*, volume 3, at page 80b") that is qualified as the Holy Land and in our era, in these troubled times. Moreover, it is a matter, in this case, of enlarging the Yeshivos* Tomchei Temimim*. Now, our masters and leaders, who founded them, asked that their students be formed so that they be: "candles to illuminate" the eyes and the heart of the children of Israel, so that they follow the way of the Torah* and the Mitzvos* throughout their life.

May Hashem preserve us from closing our ear to the cries and the calls of the children who are hungry for bread, the bread of the Torah*, who are thirsty for water, the living water of the Torah* of life, who knock at the doors of the Yeshivah* formulating a fervent and profound request to be received, to be introduced to the Torah*, to its love (note 5: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "Tractate Eruvin* 54b. See also tractate Avodah Zarah* 19a"), to the service of Hashem, to prayer and to the love of Hashem (note 6: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "See the Kuntres HaAvodah*, at chapters 1 to 3"), to good deeds and to the love of one's fellow (note 7: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "See the Rambam*, laws of mourning, at the beginning of chapter 14").

Without doubt, the fact that this year is the one hundred and fiftieth (note 8: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "One will see the teaching of our Sages, in the Tana Devei Eliyahu Rabbah*, at chapter 6, according to which: 'a period of fifty years is called an eternity.' One will also see the Bechayei* and the Tziyuni* on the verse Mishpatim* 21, 6") since the passing of the Admur HaZaken* (note 9: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "The introduction of the Shulchan Aruch* of the Admur HaZaken* says: 'After having said the prayer of Maariv* and recited the Havdalah* in the blessing: 'He grants discernment,' with a clear mind and an immense fervor, shortly before midnight, around eleven o'clock, at the conclusion of the holy Shabbos* Parshas Shemos*, the 24th of Teves* 5573'"), author of the Tanya* and the Shulchan Aruch*, will add impetus and ardor to all that has just been said, within all the positive actions that are undertaken to disseminate the revealed part of the Torah* and its profound dimension, a study that leads to action, to the service of Hashem in joy and enthusiasm.

May our Father Who is in heaven grant the blessing and success in all the actions of your hands, may He bless those who cause others to act and those who act themselves, as well as the members of their family and all those who are theirs, that they have long days and good years, as well as the satisfaction of all their needs, both material and spiritual. בעזר השי"ת תתקיים חנוכת בנינים המרכזיים של הישיבה "תומכי תמימים" אשר באה"ק ת"ו - בכפר חב"ד, בחדש כסלו, הוא חדש הנסים והגאולה, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה.

והנני שולח ברכתי ברכת מזל טוב לכל המשתתפים בחגיגה גדולה של בית גדול זה,

ביחד עם פני' לבבית לכל ידידי ותומכי הישיבה בפרט ולאחב"י חובבי תורה ומצוה בכלל, אשר חנוכת בנינים אלה תעוררם ביתר שאת וביתר עוז להוסיף במאמצים נמרצים כדי לסיים כל הבני' בהקדם הכי אפשרי, לסלק החובות הקשורים בכל שלבי הבני' ולאפשר להישיבה להתגדל ולהתרחב בכמות ובאיכות, מתאים לדרישת וגם הכרח השעה.

ואם בכל עת ובכל מקום הי' צורך חיוני להרחיב אהלי תורה, על אחת כמה וכמה בארצנו, אשר ארץ הקדש יקרא לה ובימינו אלה - ימי הרת עולם.

ובפרט - הרחבת ישיבות "תומכי תמימים" - אשר נצטוו מאת רבותינו נשיאינו מייסדי ישיבות אלו - לחנך את התלמידים באופן שיהיו "נרות להאיר" עיניהם ולבם של בני ישראל למען ילכו בדרך התורה והמצוה כל ימי חייהם.

וחלילה להעלים אוזן לרוחתם ושועתם של בנים הרעבים ללחם - לחמה של תורה, והצמאים למים - מים חיים של תורת חיים ודופקים על דלתי הישיבה בבקשה פנימית-נפשית לקבלם ולהכניסם לתורה (ולאהבת התורה), לעבודה (זו תפלה - ולאהבת השם) ולגמ"ח (ולאהבת ישראל).

ובודאי שהזכרון אשר בשנה זו ימלאו מאה וחמישים שנה להסתלקות רבנו הזקן, בעל התניא והשלחן ערוך,

יוסיף אומץ ומרץ בכל האמור, בתוככי כל פעולה טובה להפצת התורה (הנגלה והפנימית), בלימוד המביא לידי מעשה, עבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב.

ויהי רצון מלפני אבינו שבשמים שישלח ברכה והצלחה בכל מעשה ידיהם ויברך את כל המעשים והעושים, אותם ואת ביתם ואת כל אשר להם, שליט"א, בכל המצטרך בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
