Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8542 — Chinuch
Volume 22 · Letter 325 · To: auxiliaires féminines du Beth Rivka de Montréal
By the grace of Hashem,
10 MarCheshvan* 5723,
Brooklyn,
To the women's auxiliary of Beth Rivkah* of Montreal,
may Hashem grant you long life,
I bless you and greet you,
I have duly received your letter relative to your first meeting of this new year. May Hashem cause there to be a good beginning, with success, for the strengthening and the development of this institution. At all times, the education of girls based on sacred values has been useful and important. But, how much more is this the case, in the present era. And, this school is the best means to give the students a just perception and conception of what their daily conduct should be. More important still, it is in this way that they will learn to found their home on the bases of the Torah* and the Mitzvos*.
The Holy One, blessed be He, acts (note 1: According to the Pesikta Zutrasa* on the verse Shemos* 3, 6) "measure for measure" (note 2: In the manner in which one acts toward Him), with an interest that exceeds the capital. All those who will come to the aid and bring their contribution to the maintenance of this school will therefore be blessed in deriving a true satisfaction, that is to say Jewish and Chassidic*, from their children and their grandchildren. With my blessing to give good news,
