A discourse (note 1: The addressee of this letter told the Rebbe* that he was not satisfied with a discourse he had delivered, for the purpose of disseminating the values of Judaism) delivered in public (note 2: The Rebbe* underlines the word: "public") has as its purpose to influence those who listen to it. From the moment that they are satisfied, the objective has indeed been attained. Moreover, if the author of the discourse was not satisfied, this presents, in addition, a supplementary quality. Indeed, in such a case, his success will arouse in him no feeling of pride.
